Life in October
Life has been crazy lately! School is keeping my busy with my wonderful new little ones this year. They are such blessings in my life and continue to crack me up each day. It's amazing the things they pick up not only from me but from all of their surroundings!
Funny student story: One of my sweet little girls in my class wants to be a teacher. She tells her mom all the time that she wants to be like Miss Ulibarri. One day she said "Mom, theres another reason why I want to be a teacher." Her mom said "why?" She said "because you dont have to wear shoes in the classroom if you are a teacher." I ALWAYS take off my shoes in the room (especially if they are heels) and I always tell my kids that once they go to college then they can do that too! I guess she took that literally, haha. :)
On another note: My puppy Calvin died. :( I took him out to go the bathroom and he went to go sniff another dog. The dog (who I think is a Jack Russel) picked him up like a chew toy and moved him back and forth in his mouth. I had to pry open the jaw of the dog to get Calvin out. I took him right to the vet and they thought all they would have to do is clean out his wounds. Two hours later they called me back and the vet (who was a male) came into the room and was crying. I knew it had to be bad. Turns out the dog bit through Calvins chest cavity and so his lungs collapsed. :( Poor little puppy. Needless to say I was DEVASTATED. I had lot's of crying moments but was filled with a lot of love at school and from friends. My students all made me cards (because I was at a training the day after he died.) The love and support was amazing.
Over this weekend I got a new puppy....named Tucker. The above picture is my new puppy, Tucker. He is only 2.2 pounds and is a really big cuddler. He does whine which drives me crazy but we are working on it. I am happy to have some company at my house since I do live alone.
This week I am on fall break! Sadly, it's coming to an end soon. :( I have enjoyed time with my family and I am relaxing after I had foot surgery. Sadly I am still a big gimp and walk like I'm "special."
Anway, just thought I'd update!:)

Life as I know it
It's crazy how much my life has changed in a year. Some things for the better, some for the worst. All in all, God has been a constant and has helped me realize that it is ALL in His plan! I have had a good summer! I taught summer school and did grad school then I got a month break. During the break I spent lots of time with my amazing family, went to California to see Lauren, and of course was at school re-doing my classroom. I am ready to be back on a schedule but I know in a month I will regret saying that!
My friend Raleigh used to always have a 3 +3 thing. 3 things you are thankful for and 3 things you look forward to!
3 things I am thankful for:
1. My family-I love them with all of my heart!
2.Friends-I have really figured out who is a true friend.
3.Having a job that I love-I am blessed.
3 things I look forward to:
1. Meeting my sweet little first graders
2.Taylor Swift Concert (yes-I am a 13 year old girl, haha.)
3. Finishing grad school...may here we come!

I am...a ,daughter,sister, granddaughter,niece, girlfriend and friend.
I want...to finish grad school
I have...an amazing family.
I wish...that I could be married and have kids already
I hate...when people are mean.
I fear...the future.
I hear...music and love how each song tells a story.
I search...for more knowledge about God
I wonder...what my future holds.
I regret...not being honest with the people I love in the past.
I love...the rain and the beauty of the desert.
I ache...for kids who do not feel loved.
I always...tell people that I love them.
I usually...forget to do things like paying bills.
I am not...all girly girl. I can hang with the boys
I dance...in any moment I can.
I sing...all the time!
I never...wish life was easier, because its all a journey that shapes us.(i liked that adri)
I sometimes..wish life was easier, but sometimes I don't want to be shaped!
I cry...when something really upsets me.
I am not always...great at answering my phone.
I lose...my patience when someone is mean to a child.
I am confused...how some people go through life with God.
I need...my friends and family to support me.
I should...continue to learn about myself and all that life has to offer.

What I'm Up to...
I am excited to start this new blog. Life moves quick, and I want to capture and remember the many moments of my life. I am living in Tucson, Arizona in beautiful star pass. I am blessed to look out my window and see the beauty of the desert right in my backyard.
I teach 1st grade and LOVE my kids. It is amazing to me that I can love something so much. My kids in my class amaze me each day. Not only do they amaze me academically, but they also show me the innocence of being a child. My kids are hilarious, smart and never fail to make me smile.
I of course am busy teaching, but I am managing to do full time grad school at the same time. Although at times it is stressful I am really enjoying continue to learn. I love school-okay, I might be a nerd. :)
My family is so supportive, loving and AWESOME. My parents are very supportive and come down to my class every month or so. My mom plans the ENTIRE day for me and the kids ask me all the time when my parents are coming next. It is so fun to have them come down and I know that my mom could be a teacher in a heartbeat. My sister and I have so much fun together and are constantly laughing. We went shopping the other weekend and we were on opposite ends of a rack and we both held up a dress at the same time and said "this is cute." It was hilarious.
I absolutely LOVE my friends and I am blessed to have a wonderful group of girls in my life. We have so much fun doing life together, and without their support and love I may not make it through each days.
I am enjoying life right now. Although there are challenges I am blessed with amazing support and love.
